Reports claim Sir Alex Ferguson is convinced Dimitar Berbatov will join Manchester United by the end of the summer.
The Spurs striker is a long-time United target and his capture would seemingly signal the end of Louis Saha's Old Trafford career.
An attacking unit of Berbatov, Ronaldo (if he stays), Rooney and Tevez would be among the most feared in Europe.
Here's a taste of what "Dimi" can do...

Let me get this straight: Real wanted Ronaldo. Ronaldo wanted to go. Man United refuse to sell, tell him he's under contract and report Real to UEFA.
Man USA want Berbs. Berbs wants to go. Spurs say they want £40million... oh OK, £34... well £30'll do, but not a penny less... right, £27 but I'm robbin meself... Go on then, £24 million it is.
I am narked. See you next summer for Bale and Hutton eh?
I agree with you to a certain extent. I definitely understand why Spursites would be frustrated. Don't forget, I also support Watford and have seen many of our best players poached by bigger fish (David James, Bruce Dyer, Kevin Phillips, David Connolly, Heidar Helguson, Ashley Young, Marlon King, etc.).
That said, I'll play devil's advocate for a moment. I don't recall any previous statements by Ferguson regarding Berbatov. There may be a lot going on behind the scenes but this, as far as I know (and correct me if I'm wrong), is the first time a United employee has come out and expressed a public interest in Berbatov - after a bid has been made.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, seem to do all their transfer business via Marca and in public. I doubt an official bid for Ronaldo has been made yet - they will probably wait until their endless chatter unsettles Ronaldo and United to the point where a transfer is inevitable.
For now I'll take Evra over Bale but you might be on to something with Hutton.

There you go...
Satisfying to see.
I sort of see where you're coming from, in that there aren't any direct quotes from Lord Ferg before today, but it's been a very open secret for 18 months now that United have been after Berbatov.
Perhaps a better bit of Devil's advocacy is that we got caught with our own moral pants down tapping the hell up out of Juande Ramos less than a year ago...
It's a murky murky business, the football transfer market.
Incidentally, I think his is called being Out-man U-vered.
Ithankyou.
Agreed. Everyone's pot or a kettle.
