It's been some time since we made Bret Michaels our first Fantasy Fan and consigned him, unwillingly, to the roller coaster life of a Newcastle supporter.
Now, in a slight departure from the segment's "fantasy" concept, we present to you Steve Nash, two-time NBA MVP and actual Spurs fan.
Nash was born in South Africa to a Welsh mother and English father before moving to Canada at the age of 18 months. His father was from North London so Nash had no choice but to follow family tradition and support Spurs. Lets be honest, no-one puts themselves through that unless they have to.
There have even been rumours that the Phoenix Suns star would be interested in a financial role at White Hart Lane when his NBA days are over.
"I'd like to be an owner [of Spurs]," Nash said in 2007. "It's something I could do for the rest of my life.
Nash has also been keen to draw a line between himself and other cross-Atlantic football investors.
"I've been a passionate supporter all my life...so it's not like I'm some Yank who wants to make a profit out of football. I don't care about making money. I just want to see Spurs succeed and, if I can help, that's great."
Nash will be hoping that Spurs continue their progress under Juande Ramos this season. The Spaniard's major signing so far has been £16.5 million summer acquisition, Luka Modric. The Croatian's role will be similar to Nash's on a basketball court - bring the ball forward and find the open man. The pair also share somewhat dubious hairstyling.
Any future involvement with Spurs would be an intriguing next step in Nash's career. Until then he'll remain a fan. That is...unless Ramos sees this video.
Thank you to Colin O'Grady for recommending Steve Nash.
